Recently I decided to give up and find the perfect denim skirt instead. I don't *do* pencil skirts, although I own a couple I just don't feel right in them. Ditto denim mini skirts; I envy those who can pull them off, but I end up feeling like my 15 year old self. Shorts, I like, but they get boring and they aren't a skirt (duh) but I kind of class them as one and the same.
My lust-o-meter decided on an A-line skirt. The shape is flattering on me, and there is something very 70s about them.
I started a hunt. ASOS had a few, but all out of my budget. New Look failed me and I couldn't get to a Matalan to check them out.
By chance, I was browsing the Zara website, and found one in the sale. They had XS left, for a price of £14.99 and I was almost ready to take a chance despite the likely hood of it fitting being, well, slim to none.
Then, then I clicked something (yeah, I don't remember what link) and found another skirt. Exactly what I wanted, in my size, for £5.99. After a little bit of hesitation and a lot of question asking on Twitter I made my purchase. It arrived Tuesday. We're going to live happily ever after.
