Weekend Round - The beautiful, the baffling and the bewildering

Who: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Where: Teachers Achievement awards

Aishwarya in another hideous outfit by Manish Malhotra. The anarkali is not bad but it looks like she misplaced the orginal dupatta/scarf and grabbed something of her way out - looks very disjointed with the rest of the dress.

Have been reading a lot of glowing reviews of her performance in "Guzaarish". Should I brave the cold, rainy weather to watch this movie??

Where: "Golmaal 3" success party

Kareena wore a bright green asymmetrical dress which she thankfully paired with subdued accessories - gold peep-toes and woven clutch. Love the color - perfect for the coming Xmas parties but didnt like the shape or style of the dress. Thumbs down to her hairstyle too..

Who: Soha Ali Khan
Where: "Golmaal 3" success party

How cute is her romantic, ruffled top? The thin, black edging looks so polished and I love the way she balanced her voluminous top with a tailored skirt for an outfit that is sweet and simply chic.

Who: Kangana Ranaut
Where: "No problem" promotions

It really baffles me when celebs dont get their foundation color right!! Isn't that basic of makeup? sigh...
Kangana wore a black Dolce Gabbana floral dress which she completely ruined with the hair, makeup and shoes..

Who: Dia Mirza
Where: Teachers Achievement awards

I love fashion risk takers but that doesnt preclude me from making fun of them when they fall flat:p Yup, I am mean!!
This dress is what would result if you crossed a bat with a peacock!! Shoo, fly away!!

Who: Jacqueline Fernandez
Where: Teachers Achievement party, Teen magazine event

I like the color combination of the gown but the cheap trinket at the waist really kills it for me. I like Jacqueline better in her casual avatar where she is in a simple dress and flats.

Who: Esha Koppikar
Where: NGO child event

Esha in an outfit that can only have come from the "Robot" movie's costume garbage bin!!

Who: Sonali Bendre
Where: Omega watches fashion show

Sonali in a lovely shade of purple. Neck up, she looks fresh and pretty. The dress has a lot going on the top -lots of pleats, ruffles and sweetheart neckline. It is really isn't that bad except somehow I get the feeling she is wearing body armor. Seriously, if the hemline was higher, I could have sworn its Xena, the warrior princess!!

Who: Shilpa Shetty
Where: Auditioning for models for Vera Mode show

I really like Shilpa's top here that she paired with skinnies and some ugly shoes. The addition of vest was a smart move and the necklace adds some color. Nice fringed bag..

Who: Minissha Llamba
Where: MAMI film festival

White with sequins is tricky to pull off and there is a fine line between looking tacky and looking spectacular. Minissha is right in the middle..She wears it well but there is a punch missing. Have to credit her for getting the hair and earrings right..

Isha - The scarf/duppata is great, the oufit is nice but together they are so OTT...

Guest - Leopard print, layered chains, studded bag, gladiator shoes. Girlfriend is a walking catalog of Fall 2010 trends!!

Kangana in a soft pink strapless dress at the CD store store launch. The dress is very feminine and the cut and fit of this dress is spot-on. And then we have those white shoes. She deserves a style slap on the wrist for wearing them...

Suzzane wore a watercolor-like print dress to the new collection launch. I like the loose fit and pastel colors of this dress even though it washes her out..The dress is dreamy and romantic and perfect for summer wear..

Isha looks very boxy in that outfit. Her outfit looks like something people wear in one of those cheaply made science fiction movie.

Mana's necklace is bold and beautiful.

The guest wears one of my favorite fall colors. The deep red dress combined with gorgeous golden clutch and shoes make for an impeccable Christmas party outfit.
