The Netherlands victory from Cameroon 2-1 made them qualified to enter the next stage of World Cup 2010. And not only that, they also stands in first place in the Group standings with 9 points.
Although Cameroon already eliminated from the World Cup, Bert van Marwijk still played his best squad. It was a smart decision, since Cameroon was still able to show a great performance and didn’t make it easier for the Netherlands to win through out the match.

Cameroon and the Netherlands have never met on the World Cup stage. However, in a friendly, both teams had already tested their respective strengths.
First meeting was held in Arnhem, Netherlands, on May 1998. In these games, Cameroon, successfully hold the Dutch with 0-0 draw. In 2002, they met again. At that time, Ruud Van Nistelrooy single goal became the victory for De Oranje team 1-0 over Cameroon.
