By Daily Mail Reporter

It was a table for three as pregnant Natalie Portman nipped out for lunch with her fiance Benjamin Millepied.

The 29-year-old Oscar-winning actress was spotted leaving a restaurant in East Hampton, New York, yesterday.

Natalie displayed her growing bump in an ensemble of jeans and a sweater, opting for a casual look as she dined out.

Happy couple: The Oscar-winning actress was out with her fiance Benjamin Millepied for lunch in East Hampton

She completed her relaxed style by not wearing a scrap of make-up and with her hair tied back in a loose bun.

Natalie is exepcting her first child this summer after announcing her pregnancy in December.

At the time she also revealed she had got engaged to Benjamin, who was a choreographer on her film Black Swan for which she won the Best Actress Academy Award.

Natalie has recently been in the spotlight once again after her body double in Black Swan, Sarah Lane, claimed the acterss did hardly any of the full body shots.

Her comments have ignited a war of words with producers insisiting Natalie did around 85 per cent of the dance moves.

However Portman has stayed firmly mum on the subject, refusing to 'give into the gossip', as she put it.

It's been a busy year for the star, who has won a slew of awards and has also graced the screen in No Strings Attached.

Her upcoming films include Your Highness and Thor.

'I smoked weed in college, but I'm too old now': Natalie Portman on her 'stoner' past as she stars in TWO comedies about the drug

By Andrea Magrath

Stoner past: Natalie Portman discusses her fondness for marijuana back in her college days

With an Oscar for Black Swan under her belt, perhaps Natalie Portman feels it's time to put her feet up and relax with some less serious roles for a change.

The actress, who has long received critical acclaim for her dramatic roles, is set to star in two upcoming 'stoner comedies'.

The first, Your Highness, is released this month, while the just-announced Best Buds will have to wait until after the birth of her first child this summer.

And Natalie, 29, says it's an area she has quite a bit of experience in, from her days at Harvard University.

'I love stoner comedies. I smoked weed in college, but I haven’t smoked in years,' she has told Entertainment Weekly.

'I’m too old. I wish I was that cool, but I’m like an old lady now. I’m in bed by 10 p.m. I can’t do that anymore.'

Her comments were made before she announced her pregnancy this year.

The actress graduated from Harvard in 2003 with a B.A. in Psychology.

During her education there she only made two films, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and a small role in Cold Mountain.

She told the New York Post at the time: 'I don't care if college ruins my career. I'd rather be smart than a movie star.'

But it appears Natalie did more in her dorm room than just studying.

And she has enjoyed reliving her 'stoner' days in Your Highness, the medieval comedy in which she stars alongside James Franco and Danny McBride.

High times: The actress stars in Your Highness, a medieval comedy about brothers with a weed habit on a quest

She plays Isabel, a mysterious warrior, who joins brothers Thadeous and Fabious in their quest to rescue Fabious' bride Belladonna from an evil sorcerer.

Their efforts are hindered by lazy Thadeous' fondness for smoking weed.

Natalie will produce and star in Best Buds. She will play a bride-to-be who blows off her wedding for a marijuana-fuelled road trip to San Diego with her two best friends.

Bad habit: Natalie will also produce and star in Best Buds, about a bride who ditches her wedding to go on a marijuana-fuelled road trip with her friends

Oscar winner Natalie Portman goes from ballet swan to medieval archer in action comedy Your Highness

By Daily Mail Reporter

What a change: Natalie Portman and Danny McBride appear together in Your Highness, a change from her Oscar-winning performance in Black Swan

Her haunting portrayal of a mentally fragile ballet dancer in Black Swan won her the coveted best actress Oscar last month.

But Natalie Portman is not one to be typecast, and her new film sees her tackling an action comedy as a fearless female archer.

In Your Highness the actress stars alongside James Franco, who also won an Oscar nod for his dramatic role in 127 Hours.

Taking aim: Portman plays the archer in Your Highness

But the pair are perhaps unlikely to repeat their Oscar success with their new movie, which sees them embark on a quest to rescue a kidnapped royal bride, played by Zooey Deschanel.

Your Highness is a comedic action/adventure set in medieval times, and also stars Danny McBride and Justin Theroux.

With the same director of Pineapple Express, the movie is unlikely to win any more Oscar nominations, although it is sure to have a broad appeal.

Not one for an Oscar: Portman stars alongside James Franco, Danny McBride, Justin Theroux and Zooey Deschanel

Game for a laugh: Zooey Deschanel plays the royal bride, who is kidnapped by an evil wizard, sparking a quest

The trailer for the movie shows Portman in a plunging low-cut version of a medieval costume, while Deschanel is in an equally revealing red corset dress.

The movie has yet to hit screens but has already caused a stir after Portman's pert derrière was covered up by bosses with a digital bikini.

An original trailer showed the actress wearing a thong bikini beside a lake, but to lower the age rating her behind was digitally covered in a sensible pair of brown bikini bottoms.

James Franco arrives for the Late Show With David Letterman in New York last night

Body Double Claims Natalie Only Did 5% Of The Dancing In Black Swan

I love Black Swan, i was so happy when i saw the trailer that finally some little nbit artistic film not one of the million which based on the visual effects....crashing a whole city, yes okay like R.E. Afterlife...absolutely loved...future rock: Tron love but many many visual effected B category - bored the crap out of me so i was glad to hear: Black Swan, and i hate to agree what i ve pretented that S-O not true, but time reveals everything and Natalie s duoble says the white-black truth!
BUT: who care if the in those moments was a professional?? For God Sake: Portman played a teenager girls amd she did it perfectly, and did you saw her body????? I think she did enought to her Oscar!!!
Earlier this week, Portman’s fiance Benjamin Millepied had this to say to the LA Times: “It was so believable, it was fantastic, that beautiful movement quality. There are articles now talking about her dance double [American Ballet Theatre dancer Sarah Lane] that are making it sound like [Lane] did a lot of the work, but really, she just did the footwork, and the fouettés, and one diagonal [phrase] in the studio. Honestly, 85% of that movie is Natalie.” And now Lane is all like, “Ummmm…no.” In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she fights back:
"Of the full body shots, I would say 5% are Natalie. All the other shots are me. The shots that are just her face with arms, those shots are definitely Natalie, but that doesn’t show the actual dancing. They wanted to create this idea in people’s minds that Natalie was some kind of prodigy or so gifted in dance and really worked so hard to make herself a ballerina in a year and a half for the movie, basically because of the Oscar. It is demeaning to the profession and not just to me.
I’ve been doing this for 22 years…. Can you become a concert pianist in a year and a half, even if you’re a movie star? I mean, from a professional dancer’s standpoint, she doesn’t look like a professional ballet dancer at all and she can’t dance in pointe shoes. And she can’t move her body; she’s very stiff. I do give her a lot of credit because in a year and a half she lost a lot of weight and she really tried to go method and get into a dancers head and really feel like a ballet dancer."

Natalie Portman's fiancé defends her use of a body double in Oscar-winning Black Swan role

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Feeling chilly: Natalie Portman keeps warm in her coat as she walks her dog in New York City today

It was the single most talked about performance this year and even won her the Academy Award for Best Actress.

But what some fans might not know is that Natalie Portman had a little help with her highly acclaimed role as a tormented prima ballerina in Black Swan - her two body doubles.

The 29-year-old actress, who is currently pregnant with her first child, used dancers Kimberly Prosa and Sarah Lane for some technical scenes.

Getting ready for baby: It's only a few weeks until Portman is expected to give birth

However, Natalie's dance partner and choreographer on the film Benjamin Millepied, says the integrity of her performance should not be questioned.

Benjamin, who is also now engaged to the actress and is father to her unborn child, told the Los Angeles Times of her performance: 'It was so believable, it was fantastic, that beautiful movement quality.

Deserved the Oscar: Natalie Portman with her dance partner turned fiancé Benjamin Millepied

'There are articles now talking about her dance double that are making it sound like [her body double] did a lot of the work, but really, she just did the footwork, and the fouettés, and one diagonal phrase in the studio. Honestly, 85 per cent of that movie is Natalie.

'[I made] things fluid and not too complicated,' he said of the choreography.

'By getting more movement going, which in turn added to the camera movement - that is basically what I did. If we had kept things more classical, more restrained, less fluid, it would have been harder to trick the eye.'

Helping hand: Natalie Portman used a dance double for certain Black Swan scenes it was revealed today

Natalie began dancing when she was a child and talked openly about the rigorous five-hour-a-day dance training she underwent for a year before filming.

'She definitely put her work in,' Prosa, one of her dance doubles, told the Huffington Post.

'Just in a couple of months, she looked credible - all the dancers on the set were really impressed at how well she pulled that off - it was pretty amazing.'

2011 Golden Globes Jewelry Winners

Leading ladies in Hollywood gleamed yesterday at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards. Understated elegance was the jewelry theme of the evening. Diamond and platinum web-like mesh necklace designs seemed to be all the rage, particularly among some of the younger starlets. Here’s our list of 2011 Golden Globe Jewelry winners below:

2011 Golden Globes Jewelry Winners
29-year-old Black Swan actress Natalie Portman radiated throughout the evening while showing off her baby bump. She accessorized her pale pink Viktor & Rolf gown with a gorgeous diamond and platinum mesh necklace.
