Dream Outfit of the Day

I remember vague notions of making this a regular feature on the blog...and then last week I totally forgot, oops...there is no hope!
Anyway, here is my dream outfit of the day for Wednesday 2nd March. It's a day off for me today, and I'd love to be rocking this laid back cool outfit,
instead the reality is a ratty old jumper dress and somewhat faded leggings. It's ok, I'm not leaving the house, after a few days of dressing nicely, girlie needs a break!

Another Primark Find

The third and final item I bought in Primark on Friday was this jumper dress...blue with bright flecks of wool for only £15? SOLD.

Please excuse the hair, we're not talking today.






Actually, I lie because that wasn't my final find...that would be these nails, for £1.50 I deemed them worth a shot. They aren't the best, but as someone who doesn't often, if ever go for false nails they were a good place to start.

Friday Feeling

Oh look, it's that Cat jumper again. I wasn't kidding when I said I was going to live in it!





And somehow we're at the last Friday in November...how is that even possible? I feel like this year has just sped past and a huge chunk of my life has gone missing.

I hope my USA readers had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I've also got a total obsession with rings, the two I never take off are these two



Spinning elephants is a very special one to me. It has a wonderful story behind how it came to be mine.

The Love Bites ring is by Me and Zena and came to me via Spoiled Brat. I love it!

First of November outfit

Good morning! Hopefully this will be my final time attempting to blog from this computer as my laptop is ready to be collected later today; of course I then face the task of re-installing everything but I might enlist some help!

Yesterday I wore this maxi dress from Next (kids range would you believe). Clearly the combination of something bright and floral with wedge heeled boots was too much for my dozy little town as I earnt myself some very funny looks.

I'm wearing Models Own Grace Green on my nails, love the colour...hate the strong smell, which is a shame because it is otherwise a dream.







I hope everyone had a wonderful halloween. We had no trick or treaters round so I have a stash of fun sized chocolate to work through!

Is anyone else watching Masterchef? It's the grand final tonight and it looks set to be spectacular!

Good morning, I hope everyone is managing to stay warm? I'm taking full advantage of the heating being on for another half an hour and refusing to put a cardigan on. Talk to me in a hour and it'll be layers a-plenty.

Back on the floral wagon today with a vintage Gap dress kindly sent to me by Alex

My nails have changed again, I was feeling some sparkle so went for C-C-Courage by China Glaze,
I'm tempted to put a coat of Barry M crackle over the top just to see if it'll work.

FRIDAY!
Another week pretty much over, and today marks four weeks exactly since I was discharged.
Here are my outfits from the past two days.



Ancient star print Primark dress





New and oh so cosy knitted jumper dress from NewLook...I might actually live in this.

This creature clearly wanted in on the outfit photo action as he wouldn't leave me alone



Actually, he rarely leaves me alone, especially if I have a mug of hot vimto in hand.

Current nails:

If you can excuse the messiness. Barry M special effects topcoat over models own 25 carat.
Amaze. It's the best gold nail polish I've found.

this week I love

Here are some things I've enjoyed this week.



Barry M crackle effect top coat. Amazing. I've only tried it on one nail so far but I'm impressed.



Kate Logan beauty products. Kate is amazing. She knows my skin better than I do. To find out more check out her website. I especially recommend the Rose skin tonic.



Nakd cocoa mint bars. One word...heaven! Despite being all natural and raw, they taste like a decadent mint chocolate brownie. YUM.



Herbal teas! These two are my current favourites, although I'm also enjoying Good Earth's cool mint blend.



Baking! The book is amazing! I love Mary Berry's recipes, they never go wrong. Yesterday I made her banana loaf, adapting the recipe to add a good mound of cinnamon. As well as the loaf there was enough mixture to make a few cupcake sized ones, of which I enjoyed one with a mug of coffee.
I can't remember the last time I tasted my own baking, this was a revelation.

things I love right now

Today I thought I would share with you some things I am enjoying right now. I can't believe it's October 1st, I have no idea where the year has gone...all I can say is it's well and truly Autumn outside; pouring rain and howling wind, just wonderful.

Nail Polish
A.K.A. my other obsession beside tights, and nowhere near as organised.



My current favourite is this Revlon one called "Tropical Temptation" (I think)



Cosy Jumpers
Just perfect for this kind of weather. This one came from store twenty one, a fairly new arrival to my little town.



Cupcakes
My love for all things cupcakes is still going strong. The lovely scrap book album was a leaving present from my wonderful, wonderful B on the unit.



Presents
Who doesn't love them? I have been utterly spoilt in the last few months and I'm finally learning to lose the guilt around it. These lovelies are from my "Mum2" from her holiday in Florida. Peanut Butter M&Ms are a new love of mine...actually, peanut butter in general is.



Skincare
I've finally, at the grand old age of 23 found skincare products that work for me. My new staple is this Pink Grapefruit daily scrub. It works wonders on my skin and smells divine.



Other, un-pictured loves include

- Marmite. Some things never change. Plain old marmite on toast, Marmite cashew nuts, Marmite on a spoon...I'm not sure I'm brave enough for this though.

- Masterchef and X-factor. My guilty pleasures.

- Cuddles with Flash on the sofa. Except when he dribbles.

- Being home and able to spend as much time as I want with my family and friends.
